We are glad to announce that our law firm was awarded today (4 March 2019) with the innovative eco-label of Green Offices in the Presidential Palace in Nicosia, by the Commissioner of the Environment of the Republic of Cyprus Mrs. Ioanna Panayiotou. Our law firm was represented by our Advocate and Environmental Manager of the company Mr. Zacharias Kapsis. The House of Representative, the Cyprus Shipping Chamber and a plethora of prominent Shipping Companies and Organisations were among the recipients of the Green Office’s prize.
On the 7th February 2019, A. Karitzis & Associates L.L.C. has officially become the first law firm in Cyprus which has been certified by CYMEPA (Cyprus Marine Environment Protection Association), the national operator of the Programme, as a Green Company.
The said Programme is run under the auspice of the Commissioner of the Environment of the Republic of Cyprus and it is awarded to facilities that implement and adhere to criteria related to energy and water consumption, waste management and use of environmentally friendly products of personal hygiene and detergents, the quality of food and drinks, development of green areas in open spaces and environmental education.
Our law firm as an example of a Green Company has appointed an environmental manager and established an environmental policy.
