On the 23rd of September 2019, our Advocate Mr. Zacharias Kapsis represented A. Karitzis & Associates L.L.C, as a member of the Human Rights Committee of the Cyprus Bar Association, participating in the conference namely “Human Rights Education in Context”.

The aforementioned conference was organised by UCLan University of Cyprus, in cooperation with ICLAIM (The Interdisciplinary Centre for Law, Alternative and Innovative Methods) and it took place at the premises of the UcLan University in Larnaca.

The aim of this conference was the involvement and the training of young people, teachers and members of civil society on human rights education, thorough the interactive workshops, participants discovered the use of human rights education as a means to achieve peaceful relations in the Cypriot society.

In the conference there were speeches given by academics, the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Cyprus Youth Board and academics on human rights education and its role in achieving peaceful and sustainable societies.
